Question 1

What is AceMax?

Accepted Answer

AceMax is Pakistan's first AI-powered preparation platform for university entry tests, including NUST NET, FAST, NED, GIKI, UET ECAT, IBA and LUMS. We provide personalized practice tests, detailed performance analytics, and a 35,000+ MCQ library covering Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, and IQ.

Question 2

Which entry tests does AceMax cover?

Accepted Answer

For engineering and computer science: NUST NET, FAST-NUCES, NED, GIKI, UET ECAT, MUET, Air University, COMSATS, PIEAS and Bahria. For business schools: IBA, IoBM, LUMS, SZABIST, KSBL and Habib University. When you sign up you pick your university, and AceMax builds your tests from the subjects that university's test covers. AceMax is an independent prep platform and is not affiliated with any of these universities.

Question 3

Does AceMax prepare for NUST NET?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Choose NUST when you sign up and your practice tests draw on the subjects the NUST NET covers: Mathematics, Physics and English. Mockathon runs free NUST-style mock tests that follow the NUST NET pattern, and Jojo AI can explain any question you get wrong. AceMax is not affiliated with NUST.

Question 4

What do ECAT and BCAT mean on AceMax?

Accepted Answer

They are the names of AceMax's two tracks. The ECAT track covers engineering and computer science entry tests such as NUST NET, FAST, NED, GIKI and UET ECAT. The BCAT track covers business school tests such as IBA, IoBM, LUMS and SZABIST. Outside AceMax, ECAT usually means UET's Engineering College Admission Test, which the ECAT track also prepares you for.

Question 5

Who is AceMax for?

Accepted Answer

AceMax is for Pakistani students preparing for a university entry test, whether for engineering and computer science (our ECAT track) or a business school (our BCAT track). Whether you're in 11th grade starting early or in your final year of FSc or A-Levels, AceMax adapts to your preparation level.

Question 6

How do I create an account?

Accepted Answer

Simply click 'Sign Up' on the top right, enter your details or sign up with Google, and complete the quick onboarding process where you select your target exam, subjects, and study preferences. You'll be ready to start practicing in under 2 minutes.

Question 7

Is there a free plan?

Accepted Answer

Yes! AceMax offers a free tier that gives you access to limited practice tests so you can explore the platform before committing. You can upgrade to Pro anytime for unlimited tests, AI-powered insights, and full analytics.

Question 8

Do I need to download an app?

Accepted Answer

No download needed. AceMax is a web-based platform that runs entirely in your browser. Just go to acemaxpakistan.com, log in, and start practicing — on any device.

Question 9

Can I switch between the engineering (ECAT) and business (BCAT) tracks?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can update your target exam at any time from your profile settings. Your test history stays intact, and the platform will adjust subject options accordingly to match your selected exam.

Question 10

How are practice tests generated?

Accepted Answer

Our AI engine generates unique tests every time based on your selected subjects, difficulty level, and past performance. Every test adapts to you on every plan, Free included: it leans toward the chapters you get wrong most and brings back questions you missed before, while keeping each test's subject split and difficulty mix.

Question 11

What subjects are covered?

Accepted Answer

For engineering and CS tests (the ECAT track): Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, and IQ. For business school tests (the BCAT track): Mathematics, English, and IQ. Each subject has thousands of MCQs across easy, medium, and hard difficulty levels.

Question 12

Can I customize my tests?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. You can choose which subjects to include, set the number of questions, select difficulty (easy, medium, hard, or mixed), and set a time limit. The platform tailors each test to your preferences.

Question 13

How does the adaptive testing work?

Accepted Answer

AceMax builds every test from your last 20 results. More questions come from your weakest chapters and topics, questions you got wrong at least 3 days ago come back until you get them right, and fewer come from what you've already mastered. University mocks keep their exact subject counts and difficulty mix, and every test keeps some randomness. A line on the test and results pages tells you what the test focused on and why.

Question 14

Are the questions similar to the actual entry tests?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our question bank is curated to match the pattern, difficulty, and style of the tests we cover, such as NUST NET, FAST, UET ECAT and IBA. Questions are regularly reviewed and updated to align with the latest exam trends.

Question 15

What happens if I run out of time during a test?

Accepted Answer

When the countdown reaches zero, the test is automatically submitted with whatever answers you've given so far. Unanswered questions are marked as skipped. You can see the full review — including correct answers and explanations — on the results page.

Question 16

Can I mark questions for review during a test?

Accepted Answer

Yes. While taking a test you'll see a 'Mark for review' button on each question. Marked questions are highlighted in the question navigator so you can come back to them before submitting. They're also visible in the mobile navigator panel.

Question 17

How many questions are in each test?

Accepted Answer

You choose — anywhere from a quick 10-question drill to a full 60-question mock exam. For a realistic ECAT simulation we recommend 70–90 questions; for BCAT, 50–60 questions mirrors the actual paper.

Question 18

Where can I see my test results?

Accepted Answer

Right after submitting, you're taken to a detailed results page showing your score, correct/wrong/skipped breakdown, subject-wise performance bars, and full answer review with explanations. All past results are also saved in your Dashboard.

Question 19

Are explanations provided for wrong answers?

Accepted Answer

Yes — every question in our database has a written explanation attached. On the results page, expand any question to see the correct answer highlighted and a clear explanation of why it's correct.

Question 20

How is my score calculated?

Accepted Answer

Your score is the percentage of correctly answered questions out of the total. There is no negative marking on AceMax — skipped questions simply don't count toward your score.

Question 21

Can I retake a test I've already done?

Accepted Answer

You can generate a new test on any topic at any time, but you cannot replay the exact same test with the same questions. Each test session is unique — this keeps the practice fresh and prevents memorizing question order.

Question 22

How do I track improvement over time?

Accepted Answer

Your Dashboard shows score trends, subject-wise accuracy, weak topics, and streak tracking across all your tests. Every test also tells you which chapters it focused on and how many questions you missed before, so you know exactly where to put your time.

Question 23

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We accept JazzCash, EasyPaisa, and bank transfers — the most convenient payment methods for Pakistani students. All transactions are secure and processed through trusted payment gateways.

Question 24

Can I cancel my subscription?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can cancel your Pro Monthly subscription at any time. You'll continue to have access until the end of your current billing period. Annual subscriptions can also be cancelled with access remaining until the plan expires.

Question 25

What's the difference between Free and Pro?

Accepted Answer

Free gives you 2 tests a day, 3 Jojo AI questions a day, Basic Maths, IQ and the core chapters, and your last 7 days of results. Pro gives you 10 tests a day, 7 Jojo AI questions a day, the whole 35,000+ question bank, every past paper with retakes, your full history and a Study Plan. Every test adapts to you on both plans.

Question 26

How do I upgrade my plan?

Accepted Answer

Go to the Pricing page or click 'Upgrade' in your Dashboard. Select your preferred plan (Monthly or Annual), complete the payment via JazzCash or EasyPaisa, and your account upgrades instantly.

Question 27

Will my progress be lost if my subscription expires?

Accepted Answer

No. Your test history, scores, and progress data are always preserved. If your Pro subscription expires you'll drop back to the Free plan limits, but all historical data remains in your account and is accessible once you re-subscribe.

Question 28

My test disappeared after refreshing the page — what happened?

Accepted Answer

Test questions are stored in your browser's session storage for performance. If you refresh mid-test, the session is cleared and the questions can't be recovered. Always use the Submit button or navigate away intentionally. Your saved answers (from before the refresh) may still be in localStorage — check if a restore prompt appears when you start a new test.

Question 29

I submitted my test but results aren't showing.

Accepted Answer

Results are loaded from session storage immediately after submission. If you closed the tab or refreshed before results loaded, the data may be gone. That test's score will still be saved in your Dashboard as long as submission reached our server — check there first.

Question 30

I can't log in with Google. What should I do?

Accepted Answer

Make sure your browser allows pop-ups from acemaxpakistan.com. Try clearing cookies and cache, then attempt sign-in again. If the issue persists, try a different browser or device. You can also register with email and password as a fallback.

Question 31

The page is loading slowly or questions aren't appearing.

Accepted Answer

Check your internet connection first. If you're on mobile data, switch to Wi-Fi if possible. Try a hard refresh (Ctrl + Shift + R on desktop). If the problem persists, email us at acemaxpakistan@gmail.com with your browser name and version.

Question 32

I paid but my account is still on the Free plan.

Accepted Answer

Payment confirmations can occasionally take a few minutes to process. Wait 5 minutes and refresh your profile page. If your plan still hasn't updated after 15 minutes, email acemaxpakistan@gmail.com with your transaction ID and phone number and we'll resolve it immediately.

Question 33

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

Accepted Answer

Click 'Forgot Password' on the login page, enter your registered email, and you'll receive a password reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam/junk folder if it doesn't arrive. The reset link expires after 1 hour.

Question 34

Mathematical formulas or chemistry equations are not rendering correctly.

Accepted Answer

AceMax uses KaTeX to render math and chemistry notation. If equations look like raw text (e.g., $x^2$), try a hard refresh (Ctrl + Shift + R). Make sure you're using an up-to-date browser — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge all support it fully.
